Keep it simple with Cosmetic Bonding!

Cosmetic Bonding is becoming more and more used in the art of Modern Cosmetic Dentistry! We use it on a daily basis here on suitable Cases at Creative Smiles!

The procedure is very simple. It involves adding a material which acts as enamel onto your own tooth enamel so there is no preparation of your healthy tooth structure involved. It can be used on any aspect of a tooth. It can greatly improve the appearance of your teeth by repairing a damaged or defect in a tooth, reshaping crooked teeth or filling unsightly gaps!

It is a low cost, non-invasive procedure which can be carried out in one simple visit, generally requiring no Local Anesthetic!

The case photographs below show an example of the use of the Cosmetic Bonding Technique. This lady felt that her front 6 teeth looked worn and short. She did not like the shape of the upper right lateral and upper left canine teeth . Bonding was carried out here on all the front 6 teeth incisor teeth following Home Kit Tooth Whitening. The Cosmetic Bonding Treatment was completed in one visit within an hour!

Never too old for a Smile Make-over!!

This lovely lady from Lisburn, now in her seventy’s who has been a longstanding patient of our practice for many many years came to see us for her routine examination appointment. At her appointment she asked us about having some smile improvements made.

She felt that her teeth were ageing her. She he did not like the colour nor the shape of her front four teeth and felt they were becoming more worn and chipped over time.

After discussing the possible options indepth with our patient, we decided to pursue a Smile Make-over using home kit tooth whitening to bring all the teeth back to life. On completion of the Whitening Treatment we then prepared and placed 4 Porcelain Veneers on both the upper central and lateral incisor teeth.

This Smile Make-over took 6 weeks in total!

Our patient is delighted with the result and feels she looks at least ten years younger, she has even started to wear lipstick again and is constantly getting positive compliments from all her Friends and Family!

Creating your perfect smile

Designing Your Smile

Using information discussed at your consultation visit we can then use computer imaging techniques to simulate your new smile. This can then be made into a 3D Model using dental waxes. This then forms the basis of your trial smile.

The Trial Smile

After careful preparation of your teeth we can then create natural looking temporary veneers to give you the trial smile.This is reviewed after a few days when you have had a chance to evaluate it for colour, shape, size and overall appearance. Minor artistic changes can be made to ensure you are happy with your new smile.The shade of porcelain and details such as surface texture, lustre and other fine characteristics to ensure your smile looks totally natural.

Fitting Session

This is when we deliver your new smile exactly as planned. polished for the final reveal of your perfect smile.

The Clear way to Straighten your teeth using ‘Invisalign’

This lady from Belfast came to Creative Smiles as she was recommended to us by a friend. She was very unhappy with her teeth.

She did not like the alignment of her top teeth and felt that the two front teeth were crossing over more and more as time went on. She was becoming aware of these issues all the time and it was affecting her confidence and preventing her from smiling as much as she liked to.

We carried out an in-depth assessment of our patient and spent time with her discussing all her available options in great detail. After discussing the options, together with the patient, we decided to use our almost invisible brace ’Invisalign’ to align her teeth.

Invisalign was the best choice of brace for our patient as she wanted something discreet that people would not notice. This was important to her as she worked in the general public environment.

This Smile Make-over took approximately 15 months.

This lady was very happy with the overall procedure and results!

She said that by wearing the invisalign brace it made her treatment easy as it fitted into her lifestyle and no-one noticed that she was even wearing it!

Our almost invisible brace: Invisalign

This young lady from Greenisland came to Creative Smiles as she was recommended to us by a friend. She was very unhappy with her teeth.

She did not like the alignment of her teeth or the colour of her teeth. She was becoming aware of these issues all the time and it was affecting her confidence and preventing her from smiling.

State Of The Art Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain that provide a new front surface for your teeth. Here at Creative Smiles we use high quality porcelain material for our veneers, the best option when it comes to such treatment. Veneers offer great versatility and are able to be used for an assortment of tooth problems: they can be used to close tooth gaps, elongate small or twisted teeth, or improve the colour of discoloured or darkened teeth. Their strength and appearance is similar to that of natural teeth and they are a great option if you want to have a smile that will last.

We treated this young lady below with four front porcelain veneers as she did not like the alignment, shape or colour of her front teeth and a brace was not an option for her due to her own personal reasons.

We started by whitening the teeth so that the new porcelain would be matched exactly to her new whiter tooth colour. We used the art of ‘Smile Design’ to get the veneers made exactly to our and our patient’s specifications so that they would compliment our patient to the highest standard possible.

The Veneers were prepared on day one and the permanent veneers then placed 3 weeks later. Our patient is delighted with the result and with her job based around the public she is much more confident to smile! The only regret she had was that she had not had them done before her wedding day!

Smile Make-over using AB ‘Align & Bond’

This Gentleman from Dollingstown came to Creative Smiles as he was unhppy with his smile.

His future wife had started her Smile Make-over here at Creative Smiles a few months prior hence he was concerned that the wedding photos would make his teeth stand out in comparison to hers!!

He did not like the alignment of his teeth or the gap between his two front teeth. He was also concerned that he could not actually really see his teeth much when he did smile. He was becoming aware of these issues all the time. The upcoming wedding seemed like the ideal time to do something about it!

We carried out an in-depth assessment of our patient and spent time with him discussing all his available options in great detail. After discussing the options, together with the patient, we decided to Align his teeth with a brace, then use the Cosmetic Bonding Technique to finish. He was happy with the colour of his teeth so we did not use Whitening on this occasion.

After the brace work was completed the case was then finished by using a technique called ‘Cosmetic Bonding’ to reshape and contour the front four teeth to complete the Smile Makeover!

This Treatment took approximately 12 months.

This Gentleman is delighted with his result and is ready to smile with confidence for his wedding photos!

Improving a smile using Porcelain Veneers

This young man came to see us at Creative Smiles already wearing a fixed upper brace. He was coming to the end of his Orthodontic Treatment after having crooked upper teeth and wanted to know how he could improve the look of his lateral incisor teeth when the brace was taken off. He thought they were too small in size and did not like the shape and overall appearance of them. We consolidated with his Orthodontist, informing them that we planned to improve the appearance of the lateral incisor teeth by using Porcelain Veneers and asked them to finish off the brace treatment by leaving us adequate space to achieve the best result for our patient.

Once the brace was removed, we prepared the two lateral incisor teeth for the Veneers and then fitted the permanent Veneers three weeks later. On the same day that we fitted the Veneers, we also used a technique called Cosmetic Bonding to improve the shape of both the canine teeth to finish off this cosmetic case. This resulted in a more desirable, symmetrical smile! Our patient was very pleased with the results and the fact that it was completed in just three visits!

‘ABB’ Align, Bleach & Bond

Another Top Result Using ABB at Creative Smiles in just 6 Months!

This young lady from Belfast came to see us at Creative Smiles as she hated the prominance of her upper right lateral incisor tooth. She was also concerned that both of her central incisor teeth looked short in length as opposed to her lateral incisor teeth. She was not happy with the colour of her teeth. She was unhappy and aware of her teeth all of the time especially when looking in the mirror and getting her photograph taken. This was having a knock-on affect on her confidence.

We carried out an in-depth assessment of our patient and spent time with her discussing all her available options in great detail. After discussing the options we decided to Align her teeth with a Brace, Bleach then Bond.

The Inman Aligner brace was fitted to align the teeth as this young lady wanted a brace that would work fast and could be removed to eat and clean her teeth.

The Teeth were Whitened on completion of the alignment process using Home Tray Whitening.

The Smile Make-over was completed by using a technique called ‘Cosmetic Bonding’ to reshape, contour and lengthen the front central incisor teeth to create a more balanced smile!

This Treatment took just under 6 months. How powerful is the concept of ABB!

Resulting in another Happy, Confident individual who no longer dreads having her photograph taken!

Dental Implants

This lady below had worn an upper acrylic Denture for many many years. She thought that she was too young to be wearing dentures and hated the fact that she had to remove the dentures at night time and in order to clean them and her surrounding teeth.

She came to see us to discuss what alternatives she had to her denture and after a comprehensive assessment and discussing the patient’s needs in-depth we decided to place 2 upper front implants holding 4 upper front teeth as well as a third implant on the upper left pre-molar region to close the gap on the left hand side.

She is delighted with the result, is far more confident with her smile and no longer has to remove a denture from her mouth as she has a permanent life long fixture just like what her original teeth were!
